About the Slovak Economic Association

The Slovak Economic Association is a scientific and professional association of economists. The association aims to contribute to developing and popularizing economic science by supporting basic and applied research. SEA also supports improving economic education in Slovakia, with a special emphasis on educating young talents.

Membership in the society is open to scientists in economics and finance, practitioners, doctoral students, and students, as well as to the professional public. The seat of the association is the Department of Economic Policy, Faculty of Economics, University of Economics, Dolnozemská cesta 1, 852 35 Bratislava. IČO 42271037.

The Slovak Economic Society was accepted as a full member of the International Economic Association (IEA), the world federation of national economic societies founded in 1950 to develop economic science and economic policy. Membership in the IEA is an international recognition of the Slovak Economic Society as a representative of the community of Slovak economists. Each country can be represented by only one economic association.
